Arranging care shouldn't add to your stress.
From the moment you send us that first WhatsApp message, Wumi Healthcare takes the logistical weight off your shoulders. Here is our simple, 4-step framework to restoring peace to your home.
The Initial Conversation
Reach out to our Lusaka desk via a quick phone call or WhatsApp message. There is zero pressure and no immediate commitment. Tell us about your family’s situation, the specific routines of your loved one, and what kind of support would bring you peace of mind.
The Bespoke Assessment
Within 24 hours (or much sooner for urgent hospital cases), a Wumi Care Coordinator will conduct an assessment. We can meet you at your home or at the hospital ward to review the physical environment, discuss clinical boundaries, and formalize a personalized Care Plan.
The Perfect Match
We do not just send the first available person. We carefully review our roster of vetted professionals to find the perfect match based on clinical requirements, personality fit, and preferred language (whether the client is most comfortable in Bemba, Nyanja, Tonga, or English).
Care Commences & Ongoing Oversight
On the first day, the Care Coordinator accompanies the professional to handle introductions. We immediately activate your secure Family WhatsApp group. As care continues, our supervisors conduct unannounced comfort checks to ensure our uncompromising standards are met.
What Happens on Day One?
We understand that introducing a new person into your parent's home feels daunting. We script the first day carefully to build immediate trust.
The Warm Handoff
The caregiver does not just show up alone. A Senior Care Coordinator arrives with them, makes formal introductions, and ensures the caregiver knows where the tea, emergency contacts, and medical files are kept.
Establishing the Rhythm
The first few hours are spent observing the client's natural pace. We don't rush in and take over; we gently align with their morning routine, protecting their autonomy and making them feel in control.
The First Update
By midday, your phone will buzz. You will receive your first message in the Family WhatsApp group—often a photo of your loved one looking relaxed—so you can finally exhale and focus on your workday.
Let us support your family with the dignity they deserve.
Whether you need daily home companionship in Kabulonga, short-term ward support at UTH, or professional vital signs monitoring, Wumi is ready to step in.
